Our Fair Geekwear Promise

All our designs marked with the Fair Geek Wear logo are printed on shirts made from fairly traded organic cotton and produced under fair working conditions.

This means that with your purchase, you are doing something good for the environment, the cotton farmers, the factory workers (spinners, weavers, seamstresses), their families, and yourself. :)

• The T-shirts are made from organic cotton produced in India, controlled and certified according to GOTS. The GOTS seal identifies organically produced textiles from natural fibers and corresponds to the world's leading standard.
• Cotton production consumes a lot of water, 20,000 liters for one kilogram. Therefore, the plantations and factories are only located in areas where 95% of the water needs can be met by monsoon rains.
• No pesticides are used in the cultivation of cotton. Similarly, the colors used are free from harmful chemicals. Additives such as toxic heavy metals, problematic aromas in solvents, and genetically modified organisms are prohibited.

• No child labor: There are increased controls to ensure that no children work in the factories.
• Fair working conditions: Every worker is paid a minimum wage high enough to support a family without the children having to earn money. The maximum working time per day is eight hours, with a maximum of 6 working days per week.
• Fair social benefits: Every worker is entitled to pension payments, social insurance, continued payment of wages, and severance payments.
  Of course, safety and hygiene at the workplace are also ensured, for example, harmful chemicals for the workers are prohibited.
