All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

In The Shining, Wendy Torrance discovers through this line that her husband Jack has not, as he claimed, worked on a book in the completely deserted Overlook hotel; rather, he has gone mad. She finds a stack of pages on which this sentence is written over and over again.

This eerie moment from the film is now eternalised in the shape of this The Shining Colour Changing Mug. The mug looks almost black when it’s cool, but when you pour hot fluids (up to 550 ml) into it, this famous typewriter line suddenly becomes visible as black writing on a white page (with a few drops of blood). When the mug cools down again, it changes back into its former dark state.
